Chocolate is a Vegetable: Chocolate is derived from cocoa beans. Bean = vegetable. Sugar is derived from either sugar CANE or sugar BEETS. Both are plants, which places them in the vegetable category. Thus, chocolate is a vegetable.

To go one step further, chocolate candy bars also contain milk, which is dairy. So candy bars are health food.

Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.

If you've got melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating too slowly.

The problem: How to get 2 pounds of chocolate home from the store in a hot car.The solution: Eat it in the parking lot.

Diet tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite, and you'll eat less. (I do this. It works, trust me) ;)

If I eat equal amounts of dark chocolate and white chocolate, is that a balanced diet? Don't they actually counteract each other?

Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger.

Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.

A nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place. Now, isn't that handy?

More of not much

It seems I don't have a lot to say lately. A lot of thoughts (too many as usual), but I'm feeling clam-like.

Yesterday was my birthday (although I'm not calling it that ~ from now on it's known around here as pressie day, no more birthdays for me tyvm).

I got a couple of unexpected surprises. One was a postcard from my favourite canadian, a great day for it to arrive, ty ty ty :) and the other surprise was an email from 'the one I miss but hate'. It's screwed with my head a teensy bit but at least I know I'm still thought about and that's something I really needed to know.

Other than that I'm feeling a bit crappy today. I hope it's just the bottle of red and the too-much mexican food I ate for dinner last night, and not the dreaded virus the kiddo has been home sick with lately.

A quick update

I've left a few things hanging so I thought I'd better quickly say what the outcome of my meeting was the other day.

Cutting to the chase ... I have just as much say and voting power as they do. The only difference is if anything happened to cause the company to go down the gurgler, any creditors would go after them and not me.

So basically, what they wanted to avoid (me having any say in what they do) isn't going to happen and to further add to their woes, I don't have to lift a finger for the company or answer to them in any way.

That's something that will bug them because one of their main reasons for rejecting the idea was because it had been so long since I'd worked in the business, that unless I was there fulltime they said I wouldn't understand what's going on.

Totally ridiculous because I have been kept informed about everything and know more about it than half the ppl working there.

Even if they change their minds, I'm not interested now. It's worked out best for me and they're the ones with all the risk.

Roll on the shareholder meetings, fun fun fun lol.

Now I'm off to the hairdresser for a long overdue bit of pampering.

A snippet

I don't have time to go into detail but I'm kinda back. It was a long and rough weekend, the kids are sick and I've had some computer probs.

Hope everyone's ok.

ps. Oh and I also heard today that the 2 partners said yesterday that they hope we're not taking it personally because they really like me.

I had to laugh. If that's the way they treat people they like, God help anyone they don't like.

What Comes Around ...

Time ... as I've already said, it's flying lately and at the moment I have too little of it. Today I really wish I had more time to write about what's been going on, and especially about what happened yesterday.

To cut a very long story short, (and I apologise if it will sounds a bit cryptic) ...

I'm a shareholder in a company I started with 3 other people a number of years ago. At the time we were all Directors as well. When I separated from my husband I was forced out by threats and intimidation.

Six months ago he 'saw the light' and gave me back my share (but not the Directorship). Yesterday he called a meeting with the other two to have me reinstated and to his surprise, they refused point blank. (I must point out that I wasn't surprised at all, I've always been a better judge of these things than he has).

So basically the shit has hit the fan and I've had a meeting with the Small Business Council.

If I have time over the weekend I'll let you know how it went. All I have time to say at the moment is ... they have no idea they've shot themselves in the foot!

They are so going to hate the outcome ... and I am going to sit back and enjoy every minute of their discomfort.

Some things just aren't right

You know how, the older you get the faster time seems to pass? Well I must have aged about 20 years in the past few weeks because I just cannot believe how fast time seems to be passing by lately.

(Ok all you youngins that landed here by mistake and don't know what I'm talking about ... time to move on kiddos because this could get ugly and scar you for life, hup hup hup).

I find myself looking upwards a lot at the moment and saying "What are you thinking?" "How can you do this to me?"

Yes I swear and blaspheme to "Him" allllllllllll the time. No wonder He doesn't bloody listen to me!

As if I don't have enough to contend with He speeds up time even more? Well damnit, I will not let you do this to me. So I'm not getting everything done that needs doing, pff so what, so I wake up not knowing what day it is sometimes? Ha, easily fixed because I have my computer to tell me! So there!

You think you're upsetting me with all my daggy, saggy thingies? Not a chance buddy! So you think about this the next time you decide something else on me is gonna sag or bag or disappear or appear ....

1. My boobs are now great knee-warmers

I'm feeling a bit icky today. Don't worry, I'm not gonna upchuck all over you. Something's going around cos I had one of the kiddos home for two days this week with the same sort of thing.

Actually it started after tea last night (that's dinner to you non aussies and brits) but I opened a bottle of wine regardless, thinking it would pass (the ickyness not the wine). After the second glass I started having spritzers and by the end of the night I had barely gotten through the bottle.

If any of my friends had been here they would have called an ambulance because they all know I can drink a sailor under the table lol.

Enough of that subject.
