Fingers Crossed
VICTORIA'S firefighters and fire-hit towns are bracing themselves for another onslaught as extreme temperatures and northerly winds threaten to escalate bushfires burning out of control.
A statewide total fire ban has been declared and towns south of the state's major blazes have been put on alert as the northerlies could sweep flames towards them.

The teenager was planning on meeting her evil poophead b/f in Warburton today (click the map to enlarge and you can see it). Ummm, she's dreaming!

I guess fireworks are out of the question? :)~
Warburton? Good call mom!
lmao@ Seamus!! Firewords indeed!
Happy Aussie Day Darlink! Are those fires by you?
Funnily enough there were fireworks, they got a special permit ... but only in the city centre.
We're not close enough to be in any danger but we do know people who were in the line of fire (pardon the pun) of the Kinglake fire, which was massive.
I couldn't get back here yesterday though because the power went out.
Thank God it was back when I got up just now. All I had to throw out was the milk lol.
I'm off to sleepily peruse the headlines now, while I drink my black coffee lol.
Does it normally get this hot and dry and have all the fires? Sounds like the western end of our continent in August! Glad you're out of harm's way! :)
It does Seamy. Jan and Feb are the worst months (many a tennis player has suffered from heat stress during the Oz Open lol).
